It's worth checking out. Won't have the same impact now that it did in 2001 but still a solid debut

I've decided this is a great Strokes album with a couple throwaway tracks.
Does anyone else love Call it Fate/Call it Karma?

Every time I hear this I struggle to see how it garnered such hate. I'm starting to seriously consider that this may even be their best. Every song here is totally successful in what it sets out to do, even if I prefer some to others.

Also think this is better than Angles.

Not only is this better than Angles, I'd argue it's their best work post Room on Fire.
I feel you, WatchItExplode. Not sure where the backlash is from. Absolutely love the 80s vibe on here.

Right on, I knew there must be someone out there.
Tap Out, One Way Trigger, Welcome To Japan, and Happy Ending are all among the best tracks the band has put out.
It's also hilarious to think that they basically ended their career with Call it Fate/Call it Karma.

Yeah this and Angles are best Strokes for me. That run from "Slow Animals" to "Happy Ending" is unbeatable.
