The rhythm in the kick drum on Bleed is quintuple 16th notes with a swung off beat pulse in between each burst. every once and a while he does an even 16th note in between. The snare lines up like every 11th bar if I remember properly. It's either that or every 13th but I might be thinking of a different song.

agreed. Meshuggah is an acquired taste anyways and even once your into them most of their music isn't immediate. This and Koloss took me a while to really "get" and I even had some trouble digging nothing at first. However, Chaosphere and Catch 33 smacked me in the face immediately and I understood.

But for albums, Catch 33 is my favorite as a whole and I honestly like Chaosphere more than DEI. I like DEI but something about Chaosphere just works more fluidly and as an album it's just better IMO.
