this isnt punk at all
pop rock

People keep saying that, but the energy proves likewise. I know the song-structure screams Alt-rock, but the enthusiasm speaks for itself. It's goofy and lacks political impact, yet it seems to engulf you in defiance of a modern relationship.

there's some punk sensibility in the themes and lyrics, and sure lots of the songs have energy, but you cannot call songs like Buddy Holly, Undone, or Say it Ain't So punk tunes.
but all that matters is that this album is a masterpiece

Fine. It's meaningless. These songs have no purpose and the relationships depicted in every song are dispensable and cliche. Water colors are fun...

A lot of the guitar work is uncharacteristic of pop-punk, I guess you could say the vocals are more pop-punk though
