I actually agree with every word you said, paxman.

Tbh paxman, I've never really thought about the subject... & probably won't until a curse word hits me right between the eyes one day.

Hmmm, not so sure about that Omaha. I may have to go back & revisit, but my initial reaction is that Matt sounds nothing like Toby, while Emery also used 3 vocalists in a rather separate manner at the time of that album.

I don't listen to these types of artists as much as you, so my lack of reference points certainly doesn't do me any good haha.

Haha. Look, you might be right if the vocal harmonies are isolated. I also think it doesn't help matters that i classify Emery & The Classic Crime in different genres, but let's not go there. LOL.

Heh, no worries. We all have that one genre that stands out to us the most, that's for sure.

Progressive's my jam, although I dabble in hip-hop and indie when I feel like being unfaithful.

Without a doubt Lakes... Unless your taste in music has changed a lot in the past year. Even then, you should.

If the funding call for this album is anything to go by, these guys probably need all of us who like it to buy the album.

Am I reading it wrong or are you suggesting that Aliens is a prequel to Alien?

I would have it at a five but the second half is a tad bit weaker than the first

Agreed. I'm still messing with the track order to see if I can find the perfect combination. The band must have been at pains regarding this.

Really? I'm with Paxman on this one... & yet, I don't think the songs are terribly weaker... I just think the track order isn't quite right.

Not sure how I feel about this album yet, it definitely doesn't have the immediate punch of Silver Cord or even Vagabonds, which I actually liked a lot. Losing Justin really hurt them, I think.

But wow, The Precipice. Wow.
