Have you checked out Bilocate yet fire? It's like this and Opeth but Agalloch ftw.

Heard of this band a long time ago, but never checked them out. Watching Global Metal made me want to download this album so I'm doing that right now. Judging from the song I heard on the movie, this album will rule.

Eh. It's good, but no classic. I think the singer's voice wears thin after a while, and there just seems to be an x-factor missing from this that I can't put my finger on.

I'm still expecting a great album. The movie just pumped me up for this album even more.

Pretty damn close to a 4.5. Might go up with a few more listens.

For me, this was one of those fatal "dig and slump" albums where I adore it the first 3 or 4 listens, then it just becomes bland. It's not particularly dense or technical, so for me there wasn't a whole lot to grasp on to once you got past the initial originality through the blending of styles.

The album wouldn't be as good if they didn't incorporate the Middle Eastern instruments. Thats pretty much what makes the album as good as it is.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's a refreshing sound, but once you get used to it, it sort of loses its novelty and you realize that there's not a whole lot to hold it up other than the instrumentation. With some exceptions of course (like Norra El Norra and Halo Dies.)

Norra El Norra is probably my favorite on the album. I want to listen to the band Prakalp from Global Metal too, but I can't find any of their stuff anywhere.

Alright I could really see this going up to a 5 very soon. I've only had this for 2 days and I've been listening to it non-stop. Definitely better than it was on the first listen and now I completely love it. I don't understand how anyone would say the vocals aren't that good. This guy is a fantastic vocalists.
