Livewire is freaking great. Dr. Feelgood has a "fatter" sound so to speak, the production is legendary. Also, "Kickstart My heart", man. (Mindblown).

Oh yeah, sounds marvelous Dewinged; their last truly classic record I'd wager.

Better production, more hits, better songwriting, but it's a different kind of swagger. It's not the same metallic heavy rock they were playing in the early 80's. 'Dr FeelGood.. Kickstart' ultimate jams. I'm not sure how people look at these bands if they weren't from the era, but crue was great in the 80's.

You are absolutely right Jeff my man, in getting a better production and exploding with Dr. Feelgood they lost the raw spark they had in the first albums.

No doubt buddy, but that's all right! I'd be a liar if I said Dr. Feelgood ain't one of their finest records. Who you gonna call?! It's smokin' their craftsmanship was top-notch there. They wanted to focus on making big hits, and I'm sold my friend. Love 80's Metal, I'm guilty.

not so sure if i agree with steering Rom to Too Fast For Love considering he isn't crazy about this one......it's either Wild Side or Dr. feelgood (song) and you go from there......if he doesn't like those, close the book

You're right Titan, but I was rolling the dice ha-ha! If Rom doesn't dig this one he probably ain't gonna dig 'Too Fast'

Or we could all get a bullet in the head; I like it loud bud, what can I say?

Crüe are more about the singles than albums, but this one was worthy.

Album goes hard

“Crüe are more about the singles than albums, but this one was worthy.” Agree, of all their albums, this is the one where the deep cuts are just as essential as the singles. Maybe Too Fast For Love too but that one isn’t as strong as this album

I personally think Too Fast For Love is stronger but yeah, only this album, TFFL, and the s/t had deep cuts that were really worth caring about.

Guitar tone on here is so fucking sick.

God Bless the Children of the Beast is a dope interlude tbh and it sets up the Helter Skelter cover perfectly
