This is probably my favorite of theirs but that empire and process are often interchangeable regarding that role

If you came to conquer you'll be king for a day, but you too will deteriorate and quickly fade away. And believe these words you hear when you think your path is clear: YOU HAVE NO CONTROOOOLLLLLL

finding a lot of hope jamming these guys in recent days

I mean Fertile Crescent and Only Entertainment were released in 92', and they're more relevant than ever.

We probably need to start having daily BR sing alongs to deal with the state of the world.

yeah definitely. kinda like how "heaven is falling" was written about bush sr/the gulf war but became super relevant in the dubya years.

i'm not say that brett and greg can predict the future, but they can totally predict the future.

You can bump whatever BR albums you want but please don't forget about the "lesser" stuff like Stranger than Fiction or the recent ones :D

okay i'm with you on the newer ones (just bumped empire the other day) but stf is one of their bottom 5 records, mostly because of the shit production. it has good songs tho.

I got into the band with Stranger Than Fiction so it will always have a special place in my heart. Inner Logic is an all-time fave.

That review is a joke right? Although I believe you're honest about the rating, you're rambling some meth/internet-bought stimulant shit there bro.

WatchItExplode : I don't know why some people say the last BR album they like is Generator or Recipe For Hate. It reminds me of the death metal doofuses who were all about thrash metal and deaththrash (an actual genre for those who know about metal but not sure about what I mean, think of Vio-lence, Demoliton Hammer, Slayer's Hell Awaits, Possessed, later Razor etc.) who say that Slayer isn't good after Seasons in The Abyss...they just started to listen to stuff like Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and this kind of stuff and actually have no idea or know any song from Divine Intervention, Diabolus, GHUA, CI (although I find this one kind of weak) and WPB. They're still in their grind/death only kind of thing and only have 1986 and earlier thrash albums in their collection...

Anyway ahem, to me Stranger Than Fiction, their first official major label debut, is a complete 180 from Recipe For Hate, the album that got the attention of big music execs at Atlantic that Brett sold the rights to (which is in a huge need of remastering, it's the only one that's left to be remastered but it's owned by Atlantic now, although my copy (cassette tape fuck yeah) is an Epitaph one. STF's is so great, the only bad song in there is Television (which apparently according to the liner notes, was not written by BR and Tim "yuuugh" Armstrong is an immediate turn off. That with the unnecessary re-recording of 21st century digital boy just so they could have a single for the major labels, although Brett wanted Infected to be their first single. I don't understand because it's basically a mix of Against The Grain and Generator, and Jay's bass is very audible and he's pulling off tons of lick that don't necessarily follow the guitar (ie Better Off Dead, that song is fucking amazing).

I got the Japanese import with the 17 tracks and Markovian Process is one of the first BR songs I learned to play on guitar as strange as it might be, I loved the intro melody so much, while I was mostly learning to play simple hardcore punk like In My Eyes and Floorpunch, that was my first foray into songs that are not just very easy 3 riff songs which involve only power chords.

Alright, codeine's talking a bit for me here, later.
