wrong question dude, it all has elements of (major chorded) drone metal. but less distortion, try the newest records.

well (not including Heart Ache), the s/t is kind of the odd man out in the jesu discography and by far the most drone/metal... repeating myself here but certain tracks on here could all but fit on a Godflesh record (Friends Are Evil and Man/Woman)

not that I don't consider this a true jesu record, but really anything Conqueror and onward is where you'll find the true 'jesu' sound. I'd say this is kind of a transitional record in Broadrick's discography both in sound as well as just where he was at that point in his life

but I'm gonna go out on a limb and rec Pale Sketches... flies under everybody's radar and is about as far as you're gonna get in sound from the s/t, although like I said, pretty much every jesu release after this leaves that sound behind to some extent

Pale Sketches is my favorite, actually.

Also really like Silver, this and Lifeline.

Ok so basically the tl;dr on all this conversation is that most of the stuff released under this moniker pre-2010s is worth a listen and that despite this album being the project's most acclaimed it is the least representative of their sound overall?

Silver is definitely better than Conquerer if my memory isn't failing me. Boring artist overall tho

I'd say that is a pretty solid assessment accept I don't agree that the recent releases are no good... the song Comforter off of the most recent full-length is a favorite of mine

Friends Are Evil crushes me. Growing to love Silver may have actually opened me up to the aesthetic of this one a bit more.
