Yeah, I really like the vocals tbh

I'm blushing. thanks dude! I feel like a have a long way to go as far as screaming goes. I'm not too big on my vox.

Production works great on the opener and "Memo" but the rest is quite meh.
|

that's why at the end of august we're finally tracking new stuff correctly instead of in my living room. just getting it done right the first time.

This is seriously such a huge step up from the first EP. So good. And yeah, production isn't the best in the world but it doesn't really detract from anything for me.

Production isn't that great, but it has a certain charm to it.
The song writing and lyrics make up for it.

No more screams. Now clean vox. We'll have something to post up soon, hopefully.

"No more screams. Now clean vox."
Quite an odd decision. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
|
| |
I blew out my voice hehe. My hand was forced.
|
| |
damn, that sucks. i really liked your vocals dude. how did you hurt your voice, were you not using proper technique or something? i'm sure if you practice doing either fry or false chord screams correctly you'd be able to continue without any trouble, it might just take a while to get used to doing it differently. i learned to scream without feeling much strain at all in my throat after only a couple months of practice.
|
| |
the problem is retooling technique while flailing around playing guitar and keeping a show schedule.
when i first started doing vox my voice would be a little rough afterwards but then would be fine.
then for the last few months it would go out for over a week at a time after a show. i finally went to
the doctors and he told me to stop because i was risking permanent damage to my voice. we wanted to
move towards some cleans anyways so it all kinda works out. to be honest i think of myself as a
guitarist first so vocals were always an afterthought.
|
| |
i see, well if you're ok with it then that's cool. i'm just gonna miss your vox lol. i play guitar and
write songs but i'd rather perform vocals than guitar live and have someone else play my guitar parts,
rather than have another person sing my lyrics if that makes sense, since i know i'd have a hard time
doing both at the
same time and not risking injury to my voice or just sounding like shit. but i can understand if you'd
rather not give up playing your guitar parts live.

| |
oh i'm still doing vox, just clean.

Wait a minute... is redskyformiles in this band?
Nevermind, pretty obv you're the vocalist. I've been really digging this album for the past week (can't stop listening), and I think you're a really fantastic vocalist (the raw aggression that emanates from your voice is mesmerizing). What would it take to get an autographed CD? :D
|
| |
I do vox and guitar. I don't scream anymore though since i shot my throat to hell. it's now more semi-
clean whiny shouty. stoked you dig the lyrics. it's a really personal album lyrically.
