turning on was one of my favorite albums. they've changed their sound a little and this is one of the rare cases where it doesn't bother me.

This album is a classic and was a huge musical breath of fresh air for me and many others. Yes they adopted darker more nihilistic sound for this album, and they recorded with Steve Albini. They got sick of their poppier sound. Albini made this band sound incredible. I think everything really came together for these guys here.
