If lyrics like this don't get your blood pumping, nothing will. You're probably dead inside. Lou's performance on "Junior Dad" even brought members of Metallica to tears. Now these are tough guys, mind you, capable of destroying almost anything in their path. Just look at what happened to Dave Mustaine and Napster. These are clearly guys you don't want to mess with, and still, Lou brought them to tears. This proves indubitably that Lou is a true poet, a wordsmith on par with such luminaries as Selby, Poe, Burroughs, Inge, and Tennessee Williams.

Haha, this review is hilarious.

first...great review...im listening to this right now and im mightily impressed and my respect for metallica for putting such a brave face,im not familiar to lou's works but i have heard few of his singles, seen few footage of him with zorn....i like his delivery here so very true to the point...as you said everyone is completely missing the point ,people who cannot understand that the lyrics are based on the character "lulu" are well arrogant...it is this trend that has started everywhere, if one dislikes it everyone dislikes it and the one who likes it are hipsters ..so wrong..how can people continue to live in a shell and all the music that they want is the ones that would fit in theirs...if something evolves takes wings, flies the hateful denizens are there to throw stones....reading all the hate and the stupid comments brings me to tears....all you haters, you are not ready...you have not doubted and have not yearned... but there are always people who yearn for something outside the box and worship the holy sound that embraces our doubting ears.

Fuck yes. That may be even funnier than Lulu itself. Will be sure to listen.
