I love Unwinding Cable Car but sometimes I wish the bridge were softer (maybe a guitar interlude a la 'Down' or something)

Also Emim, Reclusion rules but no one listens to you because of that 4

bring it up to a 4.5 and we'll talk

I would think so. They have some of the same elements, but 'Cities' sounds a much more evolved and experienced band. There are also plenty of new elements, such as the use of synths. The lyrics have also improved tenfold.

So in a short answer, yeah.

Not liking their debut bears pretty much no significance on whether you'd like this album. I'd say you listen to it. There are really few BftBM moments here

I heard that they sucked live, but I highly doubt the source is reliable. That girl was kind of a bitch.

Nah, they're good live. I've heard on Youtube some live clips, though, and Christian does seem to be inconsistent live. But when I saw them, he was ace.

But yeah, the acoustic stuff is a lot better. I don't like the mixing on the full band sets because I could barely hear him during choruses of "Godspeed" and "Feel Good Drag."

"Unwinding Cable Car" was phenomenal live.

The worst you could say about their live shows is that they don't always play (*fin) which is retarded when the band has probably (implicitly) acknowledged it's their best song.

only time this album sucks is when I'm in the mood for Meshuggah, which is right now. Otherwise it's great

Most good artists hit a moment whenever they have their "masterpiece," and this is Anberlin's. This album is damn near perfect from start to finish. Sadly, the rating is messed up at this time, but whenever I can get to it, I'm gonna give this a 5!

[trolling rant] Oh and to those that gave this a 1, stop trolling! or get off this site, because you clearly don't know music. [/trolling rant]
