uhm no ... blood sugar sex magik is their best and the 2 albums before that are some of their best
also. this is a throwback to old chili peppers and isn't a bad one, but it is kinda boring at times
(i'll give you that).
also, i honestly believe hillel slovak was the best guitarist that the chili peppers have ever had.
plus the difference in overall talent between john frusciante and josh klinghoffer within the context
of the rhcp is not nearly as crucial to the band's overall potential than wayyy too many people make
it out to be

john was the guitarist on stadium arcadium guys
this would have sucked anyway

but Stadium Arcadium was kickass, just too long and kind of bloated.
i agree that this would have been of more or less of the same quality with john though

Don't get all the hate with One Hot Minute; sure it was a little weird, but I still found it quite enjoyable

this isn't actually as bad as i initially thought it was. did i let you know is a pretty legit groove. sadly i think the bass is the only consistent thing here.

This is quite good, but ANTHONY YOUR VOICE HAS GOTTEN RATHER ANNOYING OVER THE YEARS

The bass line in Rain Dance Maggy reminds me so much of the one in The Magnificent Seven by The Clash.

I would like to point out that my soundoff for this album is still accurate

I agree with the review ...kinda....though it was too liberal I might say, kind and soft...
One thing though, they might get better, I think the fact they are in the position of "stuck wheels in the mud" is because of record label and band managing aspects that don't allow the 'newbie' John K. to put much of his ideas in the song. If you notice, there's hardly ANY guitar on the album, compared to the ground braking Stadium Arcadium... And I thing it's " safety measures" taken from the corporate side of RHCP Business. They don't want to"upset" the fans .... Or some sh*t.. It should get better, as John K. becomes more of a real "band member" enough to have a strong voice in the record,to the point where heals may decide what goes in the song or album and what he whites would not.
P.s. Who dad dum azz biaaatch posting like it's the best album hands down. Go take some music classes or better yet kill ursel whorÄ™! Haha jku may live...

Man, if they're being told to hold back this much then they really need to find a new way to do things. They certainly have the resources

yeah! Josh is a genius but you can barely hear him on this record...
|

They need more rawness. I'm tired of Anthony's overproduced annoying voice, the imperfections are what make his performance

Josh is definitely not a genius.
