Can't believe I almost forgot how fucking stunning Conjuring the Cataclysm is.
Edit: Adequate time for a page break, ayy.

It is fire. Harlot through to No Funeral is my fave part of this actually, might also be my fave Revocation overall (so far).
Onward I go, Deathless, Existence is Futile & now this are all excellent. I'll probably check the s/t next as it would complete that 'section' of their discog quite nicely.

Nice dig.
Harlot is such a hard-hitting song for sure. Among the highlights of this album I think.

Don't forget to jam the Teratogenesis EP also. Bound by Desire ftw m/

Teratogenesis rules! Deathless is my favourite though.

Yeah I've seen these dudes a few time and they never disappoint. Dave never ceases to amaze me. He plays everything so effortlessly and I love when he plays some shit faster than on the albums. Sounds crazy as fuck.
Dave pretty much is Revocation tbh. Not just because of his guitar talent, but he writes all the music except a tiny handful of songs throughout their discog.

Technically awesome, but creativity & vox feel less enjoyable.

ive always liked revocation far more than most other new thrash. i find they actually have interesting and unique ideas rather than just rehashing fabulous disaster
and they have th best guitar solos of their contemporaries by a long shot

This has some massive hits but overall it's a rather uneven effort. Only noticed now that Extol's Blood Red Cover has a guest spot in the final section of Dethroned.

I have yet to come across a band with solos as impactful as this one. Some of my all-time favorite sections of music are solos on this album, Teratogenesis, and Deathless (the end of Witch Trials is unparalleled) - are there any bands with a comparable level of pure raunchiness in their guitar phrasing? It's a shame they've been moving away from the more playful side of their sound (the funky break in Harlot, most of The Watchers, the Megadeth-esque solo in No Funeral, the intro to Conjuring the Cataclysm, the 5/4 spooky solo in Dissolution Ritual, basically every damn song on the album frankly), as that's what absolutely made this era of Revocation for me.

dude I agree the solos are so much more enjoyable than like 90% of new thrash bands

Seen them live, can confirm. They absolutely slay it

Just found these guys due to Sputnik and this album really stands out above the rest. Still need to dig more into their discography, but the Cretin through No Funeral is just amazing. Love the creativity and riffs.
