First impressions aren't too positive, 'Built to Fall' is absolutely atrocious.

Has its moments but feels very disjointed as a whole. Really like Dusk Dismantled and Forsake Not the Dream.

18 songs woah

I think this is the first album I've seen where the bonus tracks aren't just shoved on the end

Symphony X - Iconoclast did the same thing, and it was also released this year.

Listening to Shogun now...and it absolutely destroys this. Shame.

Oh fair enough. I've never really seen it before though.

"Simply put, while In Waves shows another solid effort from Trivium it does not meet the same standards as their last album Shogun."
I'm confused. You have Shogun at 3.5?

It was a four then it dropped down, I can see this doing the same but with a more radical drop

To be honest, I stopped listening to Trivium once 'The Crusade' came out as I found that I wasn't into the band any more. I wasn't a fan of Heafy's new vocals (at the time) and I found the tracks to be of poor quality. However, I listened to a couple of tracks off this album last week on the Radio1 Rock Show and thought they sounded awesome - i'm really glad that Trivium have gone back to their roots with elements of this album so I completely agree with the '4' rating for this ablum!

Anyone else notice how "All These Yesterdays" sounds EXACTLY like something Metallica would've played during their Load/ReLoad era?

I'm glad you agree with the rating of this review, but the average rating for this record dropped to 3.4/5.

Title track was decent. Waiting to see what Crysis has to say.

I'm surprised he hasn't put something up for this yet. Although this had 3 reviews before it's actual release date so...
