My top 10 isn't anything near what I thought it would like, besides I expected this to be near the top. I mean, Beyonce is probably in my top 15 (Don't judge =P)

I think I overplayed this album a little too much when I first got it, and now it's seemingly not sounding quite as incredible as it did at first... but it's still pretty great.

I think the problem is that this album isn't as immediate as fans of the album think. It takes a while (for especially the lyrics) to sink in. But, of course, many people around here rate albums after 1-2 listens.

I guess the other thing is that the lyrics have to resonate with the individual listener. If they don't, I'm unsure that the hooks are strong enough to draw people in.

The first 3 songs are great, but I seem to remember it dropping off after that.

The album flows really well & the semi-concept would suggest that the 1st batch of songs should not necessarily be the highlights as much as it would on most other albums. So I'm guessing you may think the variety is too subtle. Give my ploy of listening to the songs in a different order a try.
