I try to be more objective in what my actual ratings are. If someone was asking whether they should check out Symmetry or Empire first, I'd probably recommend Perfect Symmetry but on a personal level I'd go with Empire.

mindcrime production isn't that great at all i mean even warning sounds better. no separation to the instruments and yea the shitty triggered snare but hey it was the 80s we'll give em a pass

What's all this talk of Mindcrime beating Parallels? Whether it's true or not, Rage shits on both bands' discographies. Also, I'm not a huge fan of Mindcrime's production either. That's why I listen to the Livecrime release... much better sound.
