Sounds like my experience....and it wasn't just the guitars, the drums also really stood out. They closed with July, and the drummer was pounding away with all his might at the climax.

Yeah, definitely a much more prominent part of the music than the drum machines on the album.

I don't know about you, but I gained a new appreciation for Wondrous Bughouse after seeing those songs performed live. I realized what he was trying to accomplish with that album, and it finally clicked for me. It's a HUGE album. Really ambitious.

I can't wait to see what he does next. He's one of the most promising young artists, I think.

Definitely. It does kind of make me wonder why the album doesn't sound more like that, but I digress. The album is wonderful by its own merits.

I can only describe listening to this album as watching July fireworks burst across night skies in slow motion.

The Year of Hibernation promises to whisk you away in a haze of profound lyrics that are buried in warm swells of synth and bedroom pop distortions.

I will be eternally grateful to anyone and everyone who likes, shares or comments on this article…

I wish I could listen to this without hearing Herbert the pervert from Family Guy singing to me because the music itself is really great.

I kinda liked dropla, but most of the album was psychedelic in a way that I couldn't really appreciate.

Fortunately, this is still solid. A-side Rocks hard, B side is great.

the way this just encapsulates boyish innocence and brings back those surreal childhood memories is just amazing

I wish the lyrics were a little easier to make out on this record, cuz they are great

"There's a spirit in Montana and in your chest

A note that rings like the bells of cathedrals rung by the village scapegoat

As I walked slowly down your driveway to my car

I looked back and turned into salt

A pillar with a hat"

Wondrous Bughouse translated a lot better to a live setting tho, methinks.

Very excited for his new one, I really like The Knower
