Pretty cool album but the bass is annoying as shit
Really? If it wasn't for the bass this would loose a lot of appeal imo.

Well yeah it's technically good and the bassist is clearly really talented but it kind of annoys me after a while, just personal preference though

The bass is one of the things that makes this album stand out so much over a lot of other tech death. I can see why the tone annoys some but I've always found it to have a kind of weird ominous sound to it and I like it

Yeah, I mean I like prominent bass but at times it felt a bit 'too' prominent, but yeah can totally see why it's a plus for a lot of people

"If they added some spacey, cosmic jazzy melodies instead, they could have 5 potential. "
I agree! Can't wait for this band to release something new.

although i may disagree with some things in this review it is a rather decent album albeit far from perfect and not as good as such bands like Necrophagist or Spawn of possession but overall a decent album

All this 'technical', 'brutal' death metal just translates to meaningless shit. Technical death was perfected when the members of this band were still in diapers.
This album blows. No originality whatsoever. You won't find a single memorable riff here, just tasteless bass playing and atrocious vocals. Parts of this album are borderline deathcore.
Forgettable shit album. +1 for the album art.

HOLY SHIT guys, did you have an idea how popular they've become? I remember complaining that they're not as popular as The Faceless, yet they deserve popularity much more than them. Well guess what, they've got 157k likes on their fanpage on facebook and 700k views of their sole music video. All after one freaking album. And they play technical death metal. And they're good. This astounds me.

Yeah I noticed that too, they didn't even have 10k likes at their page when I "liked" them. There is hope after all!

Really? Facebook likes? Because those indicate how much people are paying attention to anything? Probably 75% 9th graders who heard one song and have no idea who Atheist are. If anything this only validates how uninteresting this band is.
The bassist should just releaser a solo album, then I wouldn't have to listen to 25 minutes of filler riffs and breakdowns to hear his work.

"parts of this album are borderline deathcore" - and how exactly is that a bad thing? saying something is bad just because it resembles deathcore is a 17-year-old's reasoning. While the genre in general is very bad, there ARE bands who do it right. And Beyond Creation has nothing in common with deathcore to be honest

It's even more melodic and cohesive than their first album, this will be easier for haters to get into
Damn, October is gonna be a sweet month. These guys, The Contortionist and hopefully Scar Symmetry doesn't fuck up either
