Well actually the haters are the ones with no points to argue, the people that don't mind Sum 41 made some good points for a while whereas the haters just abused them rather than defending the reviewers view.



He says this album ripped off other people which it didn't. It is the most original of any of their albums, with no notable elements of any other bands used, which really if he hates that they steal from others, he should like this album more so than all the others.



No idea how SBM relates to Foo Fighter's Pretender either, he his explanation makes no sense and listening to both songs they are nothing alike in composition other than using soft and loud parts, which is hardly a ripping.



Fact is your review had nothing to back up the ridiculously low score other than your hate for the band ripping Green Day in UH, and that they hadn't been original before. Honestly it seems like you didn't even listen to the album in whole, or more than once, so your opinion really doesn't have any subtstance or sense in it.



Sentences such as 'The new Sum 41 album sucks' leave me thinking it's a 12 year-old hater that wrote this, and your points following just affirm that point.



You say Time For You To Go and Baby You Don't Wanna Know are "awful lazy songs" without saying why or how, and you neglect to point out that they don't fit in with the theme of the album very and this is probably why they don't fit.



Overall it was just a very poorly written review. If you took the time to research and make points that actually made sense, you could of have the possibly of defending your low score. Don't compare songs to other songs when they sound nothing alike, and aren't even similar in composition.

Negative reviews of bad albums by average bands: giving 13 year old kids the courage to speak out behind the safe curtain of the internet since...well, the internet.

I mean, i agree with the crit that knott gave me and can see what irving was saying in regards to the review but...

these guys absolutely have to be trolls. there is honestly no other explanation I can come up with at this point.

I fucking loved All Killer No Filler and Chuck was pretty good, but I haven't really paid attention to this band for a while and I couldn't care less about hearing this.

The real pull here is the awesome thread though.

exactly. this was one of those bands that was like a stepping stone for me into different types of
music, like punk. I'll always have a soft-spot for the band but all the singles of theirs that I've
heard in the past 3 or so years have been really bland. to be honest, I stopped caring when they lost
brownsound. I loves me some brownsound.
