Synchronized headbanging, drinking beer out of a horn, 50-foot banner of the album cover in the background, Ensiferum opening, Pursuit of Vikings as an encore, packed venue...... it was just awesome.

Ok. IMO, this an excellent album. It's pure AA and that's what a lot of us were expecting. I think they've tried to evolve a tiny bit 'cause certain songs have different tempos and different feelings or texture, compared to those of previous releases. I think the art cover is awesome. I find also that the production is better than TOTTG. The latter was over-produced IMO while SR is balanced and sounds more powerful which is delightful for my ears when volume is cranked.
Finally, it's AA sound and it cannot be compared to anything else even to other excellent viking metal groups out there (Tyr, Enslaved, Balfor, Manegram or Windir).

I bought this and it is worth it. It came with a live DVD, and it was only 13 bucks. This review is spot on, these guys can write the same formula, the same style, but everytime, it pretty much comes out strong. Epic, meaty guitars, catchy melodies, and just in yo face!
