Following a 2 year hiatus, Floridian quintet Yellowcard haven't missed a beat upon reformation. In fact, their 7th LP 'When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes' is their most mature to date, carrying a strong Jimmy Eat World vibe & being reminiscent of 2006's 'Lights & Sounds'. All of the band's defining characteristics are there, although less instant & distinctive than on their best records, making this album more of a grower. There's still some work to be done on the ballads, but otherwise this is another solid & consistent LP from Yellowcard. Recommended Tracks: For You and Your Denial, Be the Young, Life of Leaving Home & With You Around.

Yeah, well this album deserves that rating imo. 50 other people think so too.

Yeah I upped this to a 3.5. It definitely will never be a 4 though.

I wanted to like this more than I do. I even wrote out a lengthy introduction paragraph in anticipation of 5'ing this, but then when it came out I realized it just wasn't good enough...not even for me to stretch it into a 5 with my words

Yeah I just dropped from a 4. It's getting too stale too soon. Will probably leave my car CD case soon, then my iPod not long after that.

Still a 5. Sing For Me is the worst song on here by far though.

^ I agree a lot.

I actually wrote a review for this last night (the best I had ever written, by far). When I go to send it, it says "you need to log on" (WTF). Luckily, I copied everything except the conclusion prior, but when I tried to paste, it just didn't work.

Hardly a 5 at all even though I quite enjoy this band. Are they any good live?

They seem legit. Tight musically, especially the drummer. Singer has minor issues every once in awhile (very few out there who don't though anyway), but great overall.

"Sing for Me" is about a singing Grandma, bro. Did you think "Peggy Sang the Blues" was gay?
