Yeah I don't know why everyone hates on this band. Music doesn't have to be high art to be good. Acid Witch plays doom that sounds good, without any frills or pretentious bullshit. I'm not even a huge fan of doom, but I definitely like these guys. Aside from the music, I like the whole theme/vibe they have. You know, the Halloween/b horror movie thing they got going on. When I listen to Acid Witch I kind of feel like a 14 year old kid in 1992 listening to underground doom metal while ripping a bong in a dimly lit room decorated with all sorts of satanic/occvlt shit. (Lol Very specific, I know)
Its also really accessible even to the non metal listener. When I'm getting stoned with people that don't like metal, but I want to listen to metal I'll often play Acid Witch because people don't seem to mind it as much as say Cannibal Corpse or something like that. In fact, quite a few metal-dislikers have said they like these guys.
