as far as production techniques go, i really like the dark, heavily-electronic, abrasive sounds that you hear in some of gucci mane's mixtape stuff, young l, and some of jeezy's mixtapes, and especially lex luger (who let's face it is a fucking amazing producer). i think a lot of those producers are really underrated simply because of the subject matter and perceived lyrical quality of the rappers who use them.
