Naw, I hated this so much for almost two years. Now I just kind of like it. It's too droney and resigned, and not in the good way that TotBL was. His voice is also distractingly robotic. I get that they wanted this to sound metallic, and the general mood is a lot better than whatever OLtA was, but stuff like "Always Malaise" (which I now associate with morphine and hospital time) is offputtingly un-catchy at first.

memory serves, always malaise, lights, summer well, the undoing, try it on, barricade etc the whole album is pretty consistent. the only thing that drags this down for me is the vocal effects

Yup, this is a killer album. I don't know why the rating is so low, either... But then I remember that most people suck, and my curiosity subsides. : )
