i have to be honest, when this album was first released i was never going to listen to it. then i happened to notice last week it was on so many top lists. i have their first album (exhaustion...) and wow it blows hard.
i am so pleasantly surprised by this album its great. this genre really is powerful and this album does remind me of a lot of great influences in post-hardcore and beyond.
a little disappointing they were on tour with the bled and oh sleeper though... :/

This beats the shit out of Senses Fail and Chiodos. Underoath was solid but not this good, and Amia Venera Landscape is a bit lengthy. This probably would have made my top 10 of the year but I just got it a few days ago...
Let's see how it lives up.

for most, yes this'll beat the majority but I unfortunately was really looking forward to Chiodos this year, and it really delivered, and same with the senses fail, it's also the nostalgia effect, I've been listening to SF and Chiodos since I got into the genre, so ofcourse I am going to have certain biases. and I really liked the Underoath release. But I most def see why a lot of people didn't.
I am surprised you got this so late in the game, what made you check it out, now?
