I love the last two records, but after a few listens I just can't get into this. Hoping there's something here that I'm missing to discover later

Apparently a lot of you are far too overly critical and/or tone deaf

That the title "Rococo" didn't evoke images of a decadent society and the revolution that followed Louis XVI's execution for most reviewing this album (not just this review) reflects the sad state of the American education system. It is a fascinating Mr. Fisher actually believes Win Butler is criticizing fickle fans, when Butler may actually be referring to something much, much more profound that he detects in the prevailing winds of a heartless, decadent modern society. This review as pretty much misses the beat by pushing a petty and small-minded perspective into the mouth of a brilliant song-writer.

Mr. Fisher.
lol Rococo is the period of art between Baroque and Classical. It was short-lived, and its only connection to Louis XVI is the style of art on his throne represents Rococo ideas. It ended before his execution. It appears that Butler couldn't have picked a better word for people to not understand.
