and in a way i sort of miss it because it really didnt sound like much else (really rare these days in Da Indiesphere). i mean, it wasnt, like, chillwave or surf pop or anything else. whereas this is, while still good, a little too trendy on the whole beach pop surf 60s whatever thing. i like it though

Looking at the ratings, I'm very surprised. This album is a hell of a lot more fun than you all give it credit. It's so simple and beautiful. But where it really excels is that it's incredibly accessible, meaning that I could give it to my grandma, mechanic, pastor, or death metal enthusiast and they would enjoy it. Few albums have this ability and it's rarely appreciated.
The comments I've read here are rebelling against nothing. It's so annoying that there's sputnikmusic bandwagon pretension on fun albums like this.
Anyway that's my rant.
