lol I never said it wasn't ok to rap about those things, I said the only rap pitchfork likes are the classics and rap about guns, bitches, cars, jewelry or drug dealing. you were supposed to show me examples of rap not about those things that they liked.

nah i just only like it when they make it interesting, from more of an observational or story-telling perspective rather than simply bragging about how much 'ice' you bought with your drug money.



there are modern records that do it well, like OB4CL2 or Hell Hath No Fury, but stuff like (most) Lil Wayne and the Atlanta trap-rap scene just kind of bugs me.
