Idk, personally I think he's got a voice good enough to not need to overproduce it the way most of their albums do. Like, he can still nail some of the toughest notes he hit back in Phobia, like the final chorus in You. Don't know why the end result's always this robotic thing, it's indeed off-putting.

Idk live videos ive seen of him are fine, but definitely underwhelming after listening to the layering from the studio versions lol

I think it's not so much that he's a bad singer live but when you layer the vocals like that on the studio album, you're never going to match that live

If you do... happy for ya, lol. A dream come true is priceless.

Fun fact, my first ever review was for this album (never published though) and I remember thrashing Ben's singing without mercy. It could use some editing because now, I can't deny with clear conscience that he sounds great on here. Or at least the most authentic.
