Totally agree, "fresh" is a great adjective for these guys.

I didn't even realize these guys were well-known, I just know em through some friends back in baltimore. Ridiculously talented musicians, all around.

well considering there was a lot of building buzz around bulb's demos the fact that it finally came out and that the general consensus is that its a solid album for certain these guys should get big in the metal/prog circles in the next few months.

the ending of Icarus really enrages me.

Something else I really like about this record are the rolling breakdowns layered with drawn out vocals. An example is about 2:45 and on from "Jetpacks Was Yes!". Shit sounds tight, yo. Kinda like Hopesfall, but better.

I love the ending to Icarus.I was upset they cut all the funny stuff that they had in the demos, good to know they kept their sense of humor in the cd.

I really want to hear Captain On and Ragtime Dandies.

I think if they had kept Totla Mad and Ow, My Feelings off this album i'd be on the verge of 5'ing this, and those songs are still pretty good. Would've shaved a nice 10 minutes off of this though.

My favorites are Letter Experiment, Buttersnips, and Racecar currently.

And really? These guys are touring with Emmure and Oceano? That's almost as disgusting as Dark Tranquillity currently touring with TDWP and KSE, even if DT aren't what they used to be.

Touring with Oceano... I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. That's a SAD picture.

They will be playing with The Dillinger Escape Plan on their tour around Australia, which promises to be madder than the magazine of the same name.

Captin On is a really good one, not much different from the rest of the album, but the whole album is incredible so that song is incredible as well. Ragtime Dandies is just pointless, it's not even a song. Listen and you'll know what I mean.

the people complaining about the little joke infomercial thing at the end of icarus don't understand. as someone who has followed the band for a while and personally know misha and some of the other guys, they are the goofiest bunch of dudes i've ever seen. in all the demos they used to have a stupid funny snippet of something random at the end of the song (see the old icarus, inertia, the walk, light, etc.) and they probably didn't want to abandon that goofiness to a full extent and kind of give a tip of the the hat to the people that supported them through the demos.

Deviant.

Its just a bit of fun, but it might've been better as an individual track. Album is getting more boring by the day

doesn't stop the fact that it's awkwardly placed in the album and would have worked better in the beginning (if at all)

I think they shouldn't have included it at all. Little things like those always annoy me, especially when they're in great songs.

I'm ok with it. It was a good surprise and humorous actually. It would be way too cliche to put it at the beginning.
