I'd imagine it would be hard to score pure or clean acid these days.

Santa Cruz, California my friend. UC Santa Cruz is pretty much the only place I know of. You can probably still find it at Haight & Ashbury too, but there you have to already know somebody to get anything but twacked out hippies telling you they don't know what you're talking about.

The drug scene back in the 60s and 70s sound amazing. Pot was really cheap, acid was easy to get, and things weren't nearly as processed as they are now. The only thing the 21st century has had to add to narcotics is a plethora of chemicals and synthesized substances.

Yeah dude, modern drugs are gross... I'll consider myself lucky if I never even have to be in the presence of meth/ghb/whatever. I've seen what that does to kids and it's kind of terrifying.

On “Lion in a Coma,” the group achieves a remarkable instrumental effect, looping what sounds to be a didgeridoo modified to simulate a Jew’s harp.

it's the exact opposite of what you're saying. Change that glaring error and then I'll pos.

I think the level of detail on this whole album is pretty technically impressive. I mean seriously, there are so many little touches to these songs that add so much to their sound, you can tell they took their time creating the loops and adding layers so the songs grow as well as they do. But oh well, if you don't like the music, all the technicality in the world won't (and shouldn't) change your rating.

I like Fall be Kind.

But this still sucks.

That doesn't make sense at all. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, but I don't understand how you could any later-era Animal Collective at all and not like this.

There was much truthiness in that comment. DragonForce are arguably technically impressive, but they are laughable as musicians nonetheless because they can't write a fucking song to save their lives. Actually, I guess they can write ONE song. 4 albums worth of one song.

I said nothing about the album. How does my opinion not make sense?

Dragonforce isn't even impressive. Most classical and free jazz guitarists are technically impressive

no matter how bad the music is; Dragonforce is just wank and deedle.

I meant it doesn't make sense to me. I'm not saying your opinion doesn't make sense, it just surprises me that you could like Fall Be Kind and still give this a 2.
