Good review---but I found the album to be pretty lackluster compared to other Bodom. Just my 2 cents.
This album sounds just like their old stuff, only the songs aren't quite as good.
Are you insane? This album is nothing like anything they've ever done.

Yeah, saying that this album sounds the same means that you really don't know much about CoB.

or he could just be retarded

Worst Bodom album. Didn't have the same feel or sound as the others. Doesnt seem like a "serious" album.

this album pwns. Alexi changed and i think its for the better. although i hate the bonus track that they put on the cd i bought. "somebody put something in my drink"

This album is good, but it doesnt pwn. Alexi didnt change, the whole band changed style a tiny bit. Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper still kick this albums ass. In other terms, if this is the only bodom album uve listened to and u like it, youll absolutely love their old stuff

The only bad thing about this album is Alexi's voice, but I can get passed that. The music is freakin' amazing. Every track is great and I find myself putting this in as often as their old stuff.

This is my least favorite of CoB, but it is still great.

im gonna have to disagree with you hurricane...i could see people liking this and then not enjoying their old stuff just because of the heavy context...i think that people who havent gotten into all the euro metal or anything like that might like this more if they heard it first...but maybe im wrong

This was very helpful, ill pick this up tomorrow

I didn't buy this album when it came out because people said things like "they lost the blistering guitar solos" or "more chugging riffs"... But now that i have it, i actually really enjoyed it.. Yes, the chugging riffs are more present than ever, but i find it enjoyable because they changes the riffs structure every now and then or adding keyboard on the background... The only problem i have with this album is it's quite short...

Whoever said that Bodom lost their solos should be shot.

I heard a short part from one of the songs and I thought that it sounded like a clone of In Flames. Good review.

its just a different style from them. Still great stuff. However, I still think Follow the Reaper owns this.

Coming from someone who names their UN after Mudvayne.......................... I won't take your opinion seriously.
Alexi does belong up there. He's far more skilled then Wylde.
Wylde is good but rather bland TBH when it comes to rymthm guitar riffage.
His solo's just don't really grab me either.
Vai is great and I've listened to alot of his music. I don't see his solo's being as tasty as Alexi's though.
