Here he is, trying to get better, and you're questioning his methods? Can't you see the boy is sick? He just got done listening to a French black metal album that isn't by Deathspell Omega. He's probably just happy he didn't lose a leg.

That's it guys! You have no soul. What a poor view on music!I do not like a lot of stuff but I can recognize when music is good although I do not like it.This is a great album and quite influencial for its genre.Start eating healthy food and you will enjoy this album )

This album is the tits. I'm just saying. Ecailles de Lune may be his number one on here, but I see this as being be best, followed by Shelter, then Ecailles de Lune. I thought this and Shelter were his best moments. They are both so gorgeous

Ecailles is easily best, but yeah this and Shelter both rule hard.

It was awesome when it came out, I couldn't get a enough of it, but now I barely listen to it. I definitely prefer Écailles de Lune to this.

Both are amazing albums, but I also had that experience of listening to it nonstop for a week and then almost never.

Écailles de Lune will always be my favorite Alcest album, I'm pretty sure about that. This was my second favorite for quite a while, but it kind of wore off. I think that's because some of the songs feel kinda uniform. But it's still lovely. In return, Les Voyages de l'Âme grew on me really hard, which really surprised me. It's now my second favorite for sure.

Shelter is a good album, too, especially because it has such great moments like Voix Sereine, but then again I'm not really happy with the direction they took with that album, because they abandoned all the stuff that made the music exciting and diversified, instead of "just" being beautiful like Shelter.

I couldn't agree more with both your comments. Voyages definitely grew on me, and is also my second favorite, but it took a little bit for that to happen.

Shelter is good, nothing too amazing. It's a nice listen on a sunny spring day for sure when you might not feel like blasting Transylvanian Hunger.

I like it at times, sometimes it sounds too cheesy while other times it manages to be truly touching. 3.5 - 4 maybe
