bookends is awesome but i recently decided i prefer parsley (although only slightly). My average for this band is also in the 4.5 + range. Definitely one of my all time favs

Yeah, I'm a major fanboy I've got all their stuff on vinyl (even the concert from central park which is spectacular if you haven't seen it, there's also an added verse to the boxer which is brilliant)

what don't you enjoy as much about parsley, fallenbird? I know it doesn't have any of their "huge" songs like the boxer, but overall i think it might be their most consistent album

That's the thing though, it's their least consistent album, songs like Green Pleasure Machine, Cloudy, and A Simple Dusltory Phillipic are the only songs out of their big 4 that aren't 5 out of 5 songs for me. PSRT has some of their outright highest highs (Scarborough Fair, Patterns, For Emily, and The Dangling Conversation) but it's the only S&G album that isn't perfect all the way through.

Yeah, I still love that album to death and jam it frequently

Actually BOTW is the Simon & Garfunkel album I jam the least outside of their overlooked debut.

SOS is pretty equal to this but it comes first because it has my favorite song ever.

The 59th Street Bridge song (Feelin' Groovy)

^should be in every woody allen movie, when he's feeling particularly groovy

I mean i like both albums, but they both have really annoying tracks too

Annoying? I can understand some tracks on Parsley can be annoying but on bookends?
