Yeah, same here, and I also prefer Perfect Strangers
(yes, I do)

This is Top 5 DP for me, not counting MiJ.
I mean sure, I fucking love all their first 3 with Gillan, but I love this hard too.
And the S/T, although most aren't too fond of it.

Well of course MiJ is higher, but usually I don't count live albums

MiJ is its own category anyway.

What a brilliant album. "Sail Away" is so underrated.

Definition of comeback album even though Who Do We Think We Are is far from bad.

Same. This and Stormbringer got the band back on track.

I think Who Do We Think We Are has its fair share of good material. Mary Long, Place in Line, Rat Bat Blue even Woman from Tokyo are great tracks. Not classic Purple but still...
|
| |
Yeah, Mary Long rules. Expect my review soon for that album.

Nice, will wait.

WDWTWA definitely isnt a bad album just very underwhelming compared to the previous ones. I actually enjoy TE and NSD slightly more than it tbh.
|
| |
Nice to see some classic stuff on here has gotten plenty of discussion.

Relistened to WDWTWA a while back, but it still didn't do much for me. I have come around for Come Taste the Band, though.

Whitesnake would prob never have happened if Coverdale hadn't been on this and Stormbringer.
