Actually, I hadn't realised he was yet to make up his mind about playing on next year. I obviously mistook Richmond's want to have him as one & the same.

Richo will play on, i reckon. Shame Lloydy didnt, we needed him. Essendon this week has totally gone down the shitter.

On the album, this has grown on me. I actually don't mind it now. Gen Y is fair sweet.

"Richo will play on" I think he will too... Although he was saying he had surgery & wanted to wait to see how he pulled up from that.

"Essendon this week has totally gone down the shitter." Are you including this latest allegation about Hurley?

"On the album, this has grown on me. I actually don't mind it now. Gen Y is fair sweet." Fair call. Interesting choice as new single... & already that song ('Turnaround') has grown on me a little. My rating of 3 still stands though.

Yeah man. Lloydy and Lovett supposedly being pushed out, particularly Lovett. Now Hurley, but its only alleged atm so i guess we'll have to wait and see, doesn't sound good though.

"...Lovett supposedly being pushed out, particularly Lovett" From what I've heard, I disagree on this one. The guy is wanting way too much $$$. He has NOT been consistent & has disciplinary issues that suggest he doesn't deserve as much as he is wanting. The bombers have enough pace in the midfield to give him the flick & get a decent trade for him.

I passed on the tour. Thought about it, but not too seriously. Are they a chance for the big Day Out?

I'd almost guarantee it. They're going to be a summer festival band, I think. Big time.

If they are at BDO, I'd definitely prioritise seeing them there.

And what about Lily Allen, is she a chance for the Big Day Out?

Lily said she was hoping to return for it when I saw her in June (I'm pretty sure it was June). With all the hoo-ha of her recent actions, though; I'm not entirely certain it would still be on the cards.

Who are you hoping for, CK?

Yeah, that's what I was getting at DavID. With the 1st line-up being announced on Tuesday, I was expecting her to be on it but the promoters may now leave her as a 2nd announcement act now... JUST IN CASE this is all true.

Who am I hoping for? "All my favourite bands" would be an easy answer. But realistically:

Kasabian (as headliners of course)

Muse

Rise Against

Placebo

Kasabian (playing acoustically)

Brand New

Weezer

Kisschasy

Kasabian (playing techno on the dance stage)

Def Leppard

Karnivool (But for a true pro wrestling storyline to occur where Ian Kenny turns heel on his band & Birds of Tokyo come out to play their set)

Why do you hate Karnivool so much?

I don't hate them silly. Hell, in all honesty I still haven't given their albums a really thorough listen. I just really like Birds of Tokyo's more accessible sound... & have caught the stirring disease from a certain someone.

And tell me my wrestling scenario wouldn't be entertainingly hilarious!?

Because I'd be getting fucking pumped to see Karnivool and then Birds would walk out and I'd be all "oh, okay; seen you twice now. Cool" and walk off disappointed.

Either Vool record is worth a serious listen.

In other news, I think a Townsville band called The Middle East might be on the national BDO circuit and I strongly recommend listening to them.

Alright, how's this for a compromise. Let 'Vool play for 40 minutes & then have the heel turn. Now that would be the best of both worlds.

I have heard of, but not heard, The Middle East. Thanks for the reco. Will give them a listen if they are on the bill. I'm also awaiting to see if Closure In Moscow are there or at Soundwave to give them a listen.
