I sent it to your last.fm inbox as a private message. I wasn't completely sure what I was supposed to reply to - so I guessed.

I fixed up what you're talking about. Mainly the intro paragraph and few convulsed statements on other artists and their influence at the present time. Thanks again for the comments. I'll be putting it up shortly.

Yep. That's pretty much what I was getting at.

Ok, move along ou two. Or The Temper Trap will begin talking to their legal team.

There is no such thing.

All musicians have a legal team now... It stops Joe Satriani from knocking on their door.

BACK TO FOOTBALL.
I have supported Man U for ages...but that was back in the halcyon days of Keane and Cole and Yorke and Schmeichel, back before you young'uns were born! The Ronaldo years did nothing for me.
In Spain, I'm Barça all the way. I watched a documentary about them and realized they've had a pattern for years: dream squads of field players backed by terrible keepers. Valdes is not so bad, but c'mon - Enke?!
As for Ronaldo, I liked him at 17, when he REALLY WAS a good player and was the starlet of Sporting Lisbon. After that, he was just overrated.
I have a Barça top too, only mine is old-skool - it says Ronaldinho 10!

Haha. When I was in Barcelona, the Ronaldinho 10 tops were still being sold in quite a few stores.
And I like bad goalkeepers... They're entertaining. Look at David James!
|
| |
I love David James, helping out on that Petric goal against England to knock them out of the Euro '08! Love it!

Great review Davey, and definately something that sounds up my alley. Looking at the recommended albums I think I'll definately look into this sooner rather than later as I don't dislike a single one of them, and love most perhaps more than i should.

Thanks Ross. You should be hearing frome these guys over the next month as they are over in your country promoting the album.
Of course, the fact that I put so many recommended albums showed my confusion on the matter. As I said in the review, they clearly piece together their influences. Some may have issues with that, but it ends up as pretty impressive in my books.
|
| |
Ahh OK, well I'll keep my eyes peeled and my ears open. As for the sound, having a lot of influences isn't a bad thing, especially when so many of them are good; I just hope they have their own sound as well and its not just a mish mash of everyone else, although judging from your review and rating it sounds like this isnt the case.

Exactly. Ummm, it's arguable musically as it's not easy to do anything too original when dealing with what is essentially indie-pop. But I think vocally is another matter altogether. Fair to say he has a weird voice.
|
| |
Weird voice huh? Well that could definately be interesting. I'll youtube the band tomorrow (technically later today I guess) and give them a listen, when my internet is being more cooperative.

Cool. There have been 2 singles (both with videos) released.
Album came out in Australia a month or so ago, so finding the album on the net won't be a problem either.

Oh no... I guess it depends on your tastes, but if you don't mind pop, give it a few more spins & try to let it grow on you.
