Melvyn Grant did the cover for Rocka Rolla which is a positive. It already beats out any of the other priest I've heard.

Doesn't sound anything like Zep.

That's the one that has the Patrick Woodroffe cover. I'll listen to it later on.

Halford is great even when he isn't belting everything out at 11. I just really can't get beyond how pedantic the band proper is. They are pretty boring. It's like they decided to downplay themselves to Mr. Halford.

Don't tell me what I'm not doing. I'm doing what I do as I want to do it. I'll tell you what I want to about what I'm listening to, as I form an opinion. YOU will take it or leave it, mostly due to whether or not you agree with it.

Now get off my dick as I listen to Priest and decide if I like this or not.

I'm already liking Rocka Rolla so I don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

I'm starting at the beginning, since I have a fairly large dislike of their latter years. Things can only get better before they get worse.

I forgot to add the smiley face thing at the end to denote the fact that I am mildly joking.

My liver is full of liquor, and is likely as hard as the granite beneath my feet.

Having the vinyl sounds pretty tight. Woodroffe creates some great images. The stuff he does that play with photography and trompe l'oeil are awesome.

I should also add that this is pretty good. I'm definitely glad I took the time to listen to it.

I don't think Priest will ever be life changing for me, I hear the echoes of what they will become in the future here, and perhaps it was genre bending at the time, but they don't feel like anything that couldn't have happened anywhere else in the world if bands who likely had the same idea had received the label push.

That being said, I'm moving on to Sad Wings when I take my next break in a few hours.
