"Machine" is the shit.
And 2:28-3:03 on "Genius Next Door" is epic.

Really don't get what everyone else sees in her. I do enjoy this record, but it's a low 4 and her other stuff isn't all that interesting. Certain songs here and there are brilliant, but her albums don't hold together well.

I always like the first half of her records

i think if i return to this i'll look upon it fondly. always was that way with her. "begin to hope" is sort of crappy (isn't it?) but i fucking love it because of "memories" and all that.

They started out beneath the knowledge tree.
Then they chopped it down to make white picket fences,
And, marching along the railroad tracks,
They smile real wide for the camera lenses.
They made it past the enemy lines
Just to become enslaved in the assembly lines.
So good.

She's such a genius. Shared her with somebody who I thought would love her, only for her to be called eerie.

new Spektor album coming this May called "What We Saw from the Cheap Seats"

"I do not get the love for Soviet Kitsch."
You must be a fucking robot then whose only emotion is an intense hatred of puppies

Yeah, I guess I did choose this username because of that incident where my friend didn't like Regina Spektor.

I love this album so much. I bought it for my little sister, but she has autism and only listens to Disney soundtracks, so I just took it back after it ended up just kicking around my parents car.
