Agreed about American Dream being meh. Don't know why that track is so popular.

Yeah, Vices def top tier Silverstein. One of my faves.

I think the verses are mainly what bug me on American Dream. Everything else is alright. It's kind of an awkward play on doing a song in 3/4 (or maybe it's 6/8, sometimes I have trouble telling the difference)

i really really like the beginning of american dream but yeah the verses are awkward. def a lesser song here and an odd single choice. something like you’re all i have would’ve been a way better pick

Yeah You’re All I Have is really good, the first couple little verses are fun. American Dream is actually one of my fav, never felt weird to me

I don't think it is bad, I just don't come back to it as much as the rest.

This may sound weird, but the rhythm and structure of the verses always make me think of a waltz.

Poppy sounding stuff in 3/4 will do that from time to time.

I like that The End is 7 minutes, suits the song very nicely

I was a total pop-rock fan, American Dream definitely helped me to get into them.

Hopefully their new album is different. All of their albums since This Is How The Wind Shifts sound the same to me, maybe it's just the production idk

I got to know silverstein from this album, American Dream to be exact, the shane-fell-into-the-ground music video to be more exact.

Before that I listened to 0 songs with growl voice, the pop melodic part in Amaerican Dream was very acceptable to me at the time. That was the starting point.

edit: heck, i realized that i answered the same thing already 2 years ago
