This, A City By the Light Divided, and No Devolucion are one hell of a trilogy. Not to mention their 2 albums prior (can't say first, because of Waiting) are damn awesome too.
But Thursday's last 3 are probably my favorite; would be cool to get one more from them a la Thrice, Brand New, Glassjaw

beyond the visible spectrum is one of my top 10 if not top 5 songs from them tho

I haven't listened to this in a long time, but I remember thinking when No Devolution came out, that it was a much more fleshed out version of this.
|
| |
Well I agree w that but No Dev is like a 12 out of 5 and leaps and bounds their best for me personally

even the bonus tracks from this are better than 3/4 of WATT/City By the Light tbh
You Were the Cancer is top 10

no devolution is better this but that doesn’t mean this is bad
city is my personal favorite but thats mostly because 9/11 (10/12 if you count seashells) of the songs are like among my absolute favorites from them but no devolution and this are definitely the more interesting and varied of the two

I don't know, I just think they went for a style change here, didn't execute it well, but then redeemed themselves with No Devolution. Full Collapse is best though, ez.

I'll raise ya there Rowan, You Were The Cancer is a top 5 song

You Were The Cancer is insane. Last Call, Time's Arrow, and Love Has Led Us Astray are some of my favorites by this band too.

I'll raise you again Freddie, You Were the Cancer is the greatest song of all time and will remain so
(Love Had Led Us Astray also slaaaaaps)

This and No Devolucion are like polar opposites. This is them at their most extreme with some experiments bits and No Devolucion swaps the dynamic to be the most experimental and lush with the hardcore stuff being much more subtle

I loathed this album when it came. I'm listening again for the first time in a long time - and I still don't think it's very good, but it's not terrible. Will bump this up from a 2.
