^^

listen to frost. Aside from some folkish acoustics and clean vocals, the album is pretty much pure black metal, but with a hint of progressive goodness. Riffs are technical and varied, and the music is atmospheric and just downright scary. I also think the vocals are some of the harshest in black metal.

damn you balls! you posted a comment before me.

The Watcher is the best track on the album. I simply cannot see how you think the clean vocals are great, they are simply horrible, they get worse and worse the more I hear them. I find nothing overly complex about this album whatsoever. I may review this to really develop how I feel about this.

check out that Farsot album

I have it... listened to it once and it didn't put any impression on me really. I'll listen again though, and I'll also check out Frost by these guys. This Message Edited On 12.10.08

once again I stress, listen to frost. It is easily their crowning achievement. Their newer stuff is fine by me, but absolutely nothing compared to the greatness of frost.

Meh, not sure what to think about this. Some riffs are really catchy but other times the songs really drag.

I would've agreed with you a couple weeks ago, but now I think that this is their best.

Listened to it twice through, settled on a 3. I was actually close to tossing this a 2.5.

Yeah I'm stuck between a 2.5 and a 3 as well, though I'll probably give it the benefit of the doubt since there were some memorable riffs.

I'm sorry I just really hate this band, everything I've heard by them I try to like but it turns out to be pretty underwhelming, if not bad.

I've actually heard Frost is really good, I might have to check that one out. However this album just didn't work for me.

This album isn't boring at all. I'm surprised that you don't really like this Crysis. This seems like it would be your kind of thing. This Message Edited On 12.21.08

I know, this band sounds like it's pretty much my style, but I cannot stand them.
