Picking between the two is like picking my favorite kid. This one has better melodic tracks like Pathways and Bittersweet, but the new one sounds soooo fucking massive at times and has shit like Raging Sea and Death of All Mammoths.

This band wasn't even on my radar during this era, so will have to check this at some point because the new one seems pretty good on initial inspection. I had no idea it was an older band reuniting tbh.

Iām not really sure if Iād consider it an old band reuniting, the main guy behind the band has been working on it on and off for over ten years. I guess if all the other members were only involved in the recording then it could be called a reunion of sorts

Wasnt a fan at all tbh. The drums sounded goofy as hell in some parts and the songwriting was a far cry from being anything memorable. This one reaches places that Reckoner simply doesn't.

The drum sound was my only real gripe. Too generic. I also don't really listen to a whole bunch of post metally stuff anymore so maybe it's blowing my mind because it doesn't have context.
In any case I'm still loving it.
