I agree with the reviewer in that this album seems like a step backwards for All Shall Perish, which really sucks if your ask me. "The Price of Existence" seemed like such a promising record.
I've grown to hate most Deathcore acts, and with that being the case, there are only maybe a handfull DC bands that I enjoy or think offer something worth lestening to. All Shall Perish WAS one of those bands. Not anymore I guess.

I only really like Black Gold Reign and the title track. The intro to stabbing to purge dissimulation (stupid song title) is pretty cool too.

Biggest letdown on this album is the drums. If you watch the tales from the road dvd that came with the cd, the drummer says "There is 1 blast beast on this album, and that's one blast beat too many", or something like that. I mean it's fine to do less blast beats, but overall it feels less intense than on TPoE. The riffing was awesome, but most of the breakdowns sounded weak.

It's not bad. It's different, has a lot of shredding, but no where near as bad as most make it out to be.Btw like your avatar, Chevelle is great.
