Most people try to hate underoath because they dont like the sound from an album they put out like 5 years ago... if the music is good, enjoy it, don't hate it because they used to not be great. (even though i still love they're only chasing safety).

I honestly didn't much like what I heard from Great Line, how different, if at all, is this?

It's more technically complex and put together better. It's kind of the same sound, but the compositions are stronger and it's even kind of Botch-esque at parts.

One full spin and damn this is awesome. They seem so much more focused here than on Great Line, the songs are just more interesting and the flow and progression of their sound over the course of the album is smooth and sweet. Really very surprised at how much I like this.

I preordered this and it was supposed to be here today but, alas, it is nowhere to be found...this makes me a sad panda...
I have however listened to most of it online and I must say its absolutely fantastic.

^Isn't not getting a preorder on the day the album comes out such a heartbreak? I hate it when that happens.

I know, I usually get them early this is the first time I've ever had to wait longer. UGH! Its not the album that bothers me, I can listen to that online whenever, but I want my shirt and limited edition Vinyl! (yes I wasted money on the vinyl sue me!)

yeah in regards to myself and returning empty handed are two of their best songs. define had more standout songs but this works better as a whole imo.

It seems I need to give Great Line another chance, I could never get through it before, but maybe now that I'm into their sound more from this album it will be easier.

Eh, most people tell me vinyl is stupid blah blah but I love it. DtGL is a really great album but I think this one tops it by just a bit.

I have a feeling I will have the same opinion mark, but maybe I can appreciate it some, whereas before it just annoyed me. Much of it was the vocals, which here seem to be toned down, but still, can't be all that different, and I rather liked them here. Funny how taste can be retroactive at times.

I know, I don't think I've actually put in a CD in a few months, I just plug in the iPod and go. In fact, the only time I ever really put a CD into anything is to put it on my iTunes...
Are you referring to Aaron's vocals or Spencer's?This Message Edited On 09.02.08
