band sucks tho
Nope, it's just a North American problem you have that you call every fucking alt rock band "generic".

there are 5 songs on here that are hard 4 out of 5s. (all my life, low, have it all, overdrive and disenchanted lullabies) some bangers on here i don't even care lol.

Album is very up and down, Low is one of the Foo's most underrated songs though.

Album sucks sweet and sour pork balls. Only giving a 2 because All My Life nostalgia.
Can't believe they had the audacity to release an expanded edition to an already bloated album.

I asked a friend where to start with FF a few years ago. He said: "If you want it heavier, start with One by One."
I never listened to another FF album since, because I just couldn't like this one, no matter how I tried

How wrong your friend was lol. The Colour and The Shape is a great album though all things considered. Self-titled is also a good one, if you fancied something more grungey.

First four songs on this rule, everything else is average to bad

Keep hearing people say the first 4 songs are great, but it's completely lost on me. All My Life is pretty great to be fair, Low is decent at best if a little undercooked, Have It All is straight up awful and I've never got the hype for Times Like These, song is so boring. Rest of the album is completely forgettable.

yeah I think it’s more like the first 2 songs are great. “Times Like These” is a fine single. The rest is astoundingly mediocre. I can’t believe this thing was 15 songs long

all my life is such a fucking banger

slightly front-loaded for sure but unfairly decried record IMO.
and Come Back for the best QOTSA track not done by QOTSA

Idk how much I want to relisten to this these days (HA!), but this is better than basically all of the FF albums after it. Wasting Light is the exception. Overall though, the first 4 albums are this band’s peak.

Colour and Shape > Selfie > Wasting Light > Nothing Left to Lose = One by One > In Your Honor
The rest is not worth digging through at this point.

Colour = Nothing > One = Foo > Wasting
I remember not liking Echoes and Honor and really can't be arsed listening to them again, they're a skip for me.
Haven't tried Medicine, Concrete, and the latest one.
I did however this week give a chance to both But Here We Are and Sonic Highways and after seeing the good reviews for the former and a few voices saying the latter was unfairly judged, and I enjoyed both. I'll listen to them again and see where they fit in my little ranking. But everything in it is in the 3.5-4 range. I think Wasting is a bit overrated if anything even if a strong late career outing.

Wasting Light just baaarely beats this and Nothing Left to Lose. It might be closer to a three way tie. First two Foo will always be best two Foo.

Honestly tracks 8-10 are the only bad songs on this album. Have it All is also pretty weak. Maybe this album gets so much flack because those bad songs are in a row at the end. Always thought this one was underrated amongst the first 4. I used to prefer it to Nothing Left to Lose, but they are just about equal for me now.

wouldn't say they are outright bad, but burn away didn't need to be 5 mins long.
I like Overdrive, it's a fun one, maybe should have been on the first side though
