The old-school post-hardcore vibes are rad on this one and the heavy tracks rip

I really like the outro in And There Will Be A Swarm of Hornets

There's some weaker stuff to sludge through but the good stuff is really good. Birth of the Anti Mother in particular absolutely rips

Like most, I hated this album when it was released. Slowly grew on me over a decade or so. When you listen to it under the lens of an angry divorce album, and without any expectations of what it should sound like, it's actually a pretty incredible album. An absolutely unfiltered volcano of paranoid, terrified rage.

I don't know how people don't like this one, I feel like Anti-Mother, Redeemer and Meridional are phenomenal records.

Surrender Your Sons is like a top 5 norma jean track to me.

Redeemer to Wrongdoers is a very strong run for the band, not that their newer stuff is really any worse
