i think the drums on blinded in chains are fucking incredible

I actually like this album, its nothing on some of the tracks from Waking The Fallen but I think Matts voice is better now, even though he cant scream, theres just something that makes me think its better than before.

Great review though.

M. Shadow's voice is great for the type of music this album offers. If you dont like this new A7X style then you probably wont like his voice.

I agree with steerpike and drunken viking. What makes them sell-outs? Its good that they are finally getting more publicity. It is not even there fault that they changed their music style. Shadows f****d up his throat doing their old style so they were forced to make a change

They were going to change anyway, Shadows' throat problem just gave them a convenient excuse.
This is according to the band themselves, look it up.
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that though. It's not selling out, it's an evolution in their sound. If you're going to sell out to be popular and whore yourself to MTV and the like, I don't think you're going to end up writing 7, 8, andf 9 minute songs.

Lucky bastard. I'm not a big fan of Coheed ( think that the guys voice is a little wierd) but they have some cool guitar riffs. I missed A7x the last time they were in Tucson AZ I wanted to see them this time but can't when they come back to Phoenix cause my school is going to DC for a fieldtrip that week. *Karma is a bitch*

I havent really listened to A7x's older albums and i started with the city of evil album, and i agree with almost all of lizer's opinions on the album, im a drummer in a band and the rev is amazing and so are the guitarists, but i cant hear the bass that well, maybe i have ear damage, anyway great album!

That was a sick review. I used to hate A7x's music, and now I love it (probably after listening to Bullet For My Valentine and realizing that they're in the same genre).

I agree with Steerpike as well. A7x are not sell-outs. They're just ****ing crazy. :thumb:
