no literally 'just coz' It's an error in the system I am pretty sure, when someone - when you used to be able vote .5 without a review - voted a 0.5, I think.

extremely late commenting. Very good review; personally not a fan of the majority of this cd though.. they went waay to far into the rock genre, left that pop-punk we all loved way behind.

This album is by far their best, IMO. Stuff like No Reason, Angels With Dirty Faces, Open Your Eyes, I'm Not the One and 88, they really reached their peak. And now they come up with 3rd rate shit like Scumfuck...

If only they continued the style of this album (without the Metallica plagarizing)

As yet, Sum 41 cannot be accused of making the same album twice. On the rather seriously themed ‘Chuck’, the Canadian quartet almost say goodbye to the pop-punk of their previous 2 LPs, in favor of a heavier sound that takes in rock, punk & metal. The results are a little inconsistent on what is a front-loaded album, however the main issue here is how disconcertingly derivative some of the tunes are (S.O.A.D, Oasis, Metallica, Limp Bizkit & Linkin Park must all have raised an eyebrow). Thankfully, it’s all fairly fun & catchy in trademark Sum 41 style. Recommended Tracks: No Reason, Open Your Eyes & Some Say.

I don't think I've ever heard this one...

I think the some lyrics of this album are about losing faith. For example, in the song 'Pieces', Deryck says: 'Nothing can save me'.
